How to Apply for EJU in India (New Delhi)

In India, the EJU Examination is conducted on behalf of JASSO by MOSAI — the Mombusho Scholars Association of India, operating under the supervision of the Embassy of Japan, New Delhi.

Step-by-Step Application Process

STEP 1 — Prepare Your Documents

•        Passport-size photograph in JPG/JPEG format (100 KB to 200 KB, dimensions ratio 4:3)

•        Decide your mode of online payment: Credit card, Debit card, or Net Banking

EJU Exam Structure & Subjects

The EJU is a one-day examination. It is divided into two major parts conducted on the same day:

Part 1 — Japanese as a Foreign Language (Compulsory for Most Programs)

The Japanese as a Foreign Language test is conducted ONLY in Japanese. It is compulsory for most Japanese university programs except rare English-only courses. A score of approximately 280 or above in the Japanese section, combined with strong subject scores, is generally considered competitive for reputed Japanese universities.
